Luckily Oukitel U7 Plus in the name has nothing to do with the actual size. It’s a normal 5,5-inch phone so 0,5 inch bigger screen. The available color variants are rose gold (our sample piece), champagne gold and space grey. Bezels are definitely not so narrow as shown in the ads and I think Oukitel doesn’t have to lie, because It’s a low-end device and actually looking really good. The first thing you can notice is a back cover which gives it a really elegant look and overally strenghtening the build. You can feel slight gaps and inconsistencies in the frame build, but to be fair the same thing can be said for example about iPhone 6  which is twice or more as expensive. The buttons are also plastic made and they have good grip and sensitive press. The power button has a smooth texture on it so it’s easy to find it even blindly.

The 5,5” display in the front is probably without any protective glass. There is a screen protector already applied. Back cover you can open it to insert your memory card and sim-card. So you don’t need to worry about battery because it’s can removable and with 2500mAh battery capacity. The speaker, usb port and mic is at bottom and i really like they speaker look like Apple product such as iPhone and iPad.

The new 64bit quad-core Mediatek MT6737 processor clocked at 1,3 GHz promises increased performance and energy saving in comparison with the older MT6735, which has been installed in quite some cheaper devices lately. In the Antutu test we’ve got similar results like the MT6735 equipped phones reaching almost 30000 points.

2GB of RAM is enough for the budget device so you don’t need any additional cleaners and just let the Android do its job. 16GB of internal memory is also enough for a normal user and with the possibility of an SD card expansion you don’t have to be worried where to store your photos, videos and additional data of installed apps.

*More information you can watch in my video above.

Five and half inch scren is a norm these days and the IPS panel with HD resolution is nothing out of the ordinary. Viewing angles are satisfying and colors are slightly colder than AMOLED displays. It would be beneficial to make the minimum brightness level a bit lower for more comfortable usage at night. The display has a modern 2.5D curved glass.Screen-to-body ratio is about 70% and the bezels are not dramatically big. You just need to keep in mind the price tag of the device.

Inside the phone is a new, basically clean Android in 6.0 (64bit) version. I like they launcher just like stock android launcher. Has Home Screen and drawer, it’s can make me easy to find my installed apps. Circular-icon look like it’s easy to me determined apps and it’s very colorful. The system is very smooth and comfortable and i think it’s very stable than my phones ( Redmi 3). When i want typing using whatsapp, i don’t have any lags like my Redmi 3, and Oukitel U7 plus has use stock android keyboard.

Suprised!!! When i want to review this phones, i got notification for update to new firmware. You can see, it’s support OTA updates. Btw, i really like this new functions in Oukitel phones, it’s just like iOS float gesture. You can watch my video to see about this functions.

Other functions like fast fingerprint, wake up screen, and other. Just like any other phones.

With 2500 mAH, for me this not much for using in one day. For usage you just get 7 hrs with basic usage. It’s will good if this phone has 3000mAH or above.

Feels a bit like journey to the past. In sunny conditions the result can be satisfying, but during in nigh, very bad. Btw, thanks to LED function.

Default camera app can be opened directly from the lockscreen and it offers all the usual effects and filters. With 8MP interpolated 13MP camera, for me so far so good. You can see picture has take by Oukitel U7 Plus above, really good color but front camera look so pale for me. I don’t like that. The video quality is just up to today´s standards. In other words it’s rubbish just like with some other, often more expensive phones. I hope, next update Oukitel need bring they own camera app with beautiful design and more function. I really don’t like MTK stock camera apps.

Don’t expect anything special though. The sound is clean but the device has no additional audio chip for improving the output. The sound from the speaker is flat and it could be a bit more louder for sure

All things considered the phone has a nice design and thanks for 2.5D curved display. Good built quality with cheaper prices. Good network functions has support in my country network band. For cons this phones just slow charging and pro this phones really suitable to hold on your hands. Btw, it’s more better when this phone has using metal back cover.

To buy this phone with $99.99 and don’t forget about 11.11 sale just get $79.99 only. You can check in this website: Aliexpress

Thanks for Oukitel to bring this samples.
